We had tea and dessert party and decorate with fun, girly things. Seriously, it was so fun to decorate for. We kept it simple and on a pretty small budget.
The butterflies were leftover from her bedroom project and the hanging paper lanterns that aren't lanterns (what do you call those things) are from Target.
We decorated with paper banners like I used on the pallet sign and we also made small banners. Here's how we did it:
This awesome punch from Stampin' Up! makes this project so easy! It punches out both shapes.
Punch the shapes out on your coordinating double sided paper,
and you get two pieces to glue together if you flip one over.
Glue each little flag together.
We made some cupcake toppers with these flat picks we found by the toothpicks at the store. The rest we made bunting with by gluing them to twine.
We had a couple of games set up. This one was ping pong toss. Paper covered cans do the trick!
We set up a tea party for the girls to play with.
And my mom made these super cute felt cupcakes and doughnuts. They were a big hit! I think they were played with the entire time! Each little girl got to take home a felt doughnut along with some other little girly things.
I didn't get a picture of the cupcakes before the party. At the end this is what was left. Noah didn't finish his and put it back for later.
Here's a picture of the real cupcakes in action. They are just cupcakes with pastel sprinkles from Publix. I added our toppers and they worked great! What a fun party to decorate for!
Have a great rest of the week!
